Floor Classes


Stretching and Flexibility

  • In this class, we will work on improving your flexibility from head to toe using a combination of active flexibility drills and passive stretching techniques. Emphasis will be placed on splits and shoulder/black flexibility. Class will begin with a light warm up and conclude with light conditioning to encourage general strength and stability.

    Modifications for skills learned in class be provided at any time.

    Prerequisites: None. This class is for anyone looking to gain more flexibility in their body.

Handstands

  • In this class, you will learn the building blocks of doing a proper circus-style handstand.

    We will strengthen the shoulders, wrists, and forearms while learning proper alignment and engagement to keep you safe and in control of your body. We will also explore creative entrances, exits, and shapes in your handstand using the wall and each other as spotters.

    Prerequisites:

    None, however you will get more out of the class if you are comfortable kicking up to a handstand against a wall.

Mat Pilates

  • This is an all-levels Mat Pilates class focused on developing strength, body control, and mobility.

    It's great for those who want to improve their practice in any sport or movement art, as well as for those looking for functional strength, better posture, flexibility, balance, body awareness, and stress relief.

    The exercises will be adapted according to students' levels.

    Prerequisites: None. This class is designed for all levels.

The Hive Bootcamp

  • Whether you’re an aerialist or not, challenge your entire body on the ground and in the air with our Hive Conditioning class. This class is a full body fitness program designed with everyone and every goal in mind.

    By combining High Intensity Interval Training methods (HIIT) with Aerial conditioning, Th Hive SF has developed a unique, fun, and exciting workout that's guaranteed to maximize results and have you feeling accomplished after every class!

    Prerequisites: None. Everyone is welcome.
