Policies

  • Waiver

All students must maintain up-to-date registration information and sign a yearly waiver. Failure to do so will result in your inability to participate in any class or workshop. If the student is under age 18, they will need a legal parent/guardian to sign their waiver for them in order to participate.

    Cancellation

Classes must be canceled at least 24 hours before the class begins or you will be charged for the class. To cancel, sign into your account via MindBody, and click “cancel” next to the class you wish to cancel. You may also cancel by calling our front desk, 24 hours before the class begins. You will receive an email confirmation for successful cancellations done by our staff. If you do not receive this email, please let us know as we cannot honor the cancellation if you do not have this email confirmation.

    Late/No Shows

In order to enjoy your class to the fullest, and to be respectful to our teachers and other students, we ask that you arrive 5- 10 minutes early for your class if possible.

For Aerial classes: You may be admitted to class 10-15 minutes after a class has started, depending on instructor approval. There will be absolutely no admission into a class if you are more than 15 minutes late, no exceptions.

For Yoga classes: You may be admitted to class up to 5 minutes after a class has started. There will be no admission into a class if you are more than 5 minutes late.

Students who no-show or are late to class as described above will be charged for the class.

    Classes are non-transferrable.

Class packs, memberships and workshops are not transferable, no exceptions.

    Refunds

All class purchases at the Hive SF, including but not limited to drop-in credits, class packs, memberships, privates, and workshops are final sale and non-refundable.

Classes canceled by The Hive SF will be credited to your account for use for the same class, or any other class, in a future date.

    Attire

We recommend breathable workout clothes that are tight-fitting, not baggy, because many of our classes - whether aerial, floor, or yoga - include inversions. Wearing tight-fitting clothes also prevents them from being caught by the apparatus. If you are taking an aerial class, we recommend dance or yoga bottoms that cover your legs to protect your skin.

For aerial students, we ask that you remove all jewelry as it can be unsafe to wear while you are on an apparatus and may also damage the equipment. Please leave valuable jewelry at home as we cannot be responsible for the loss of personal belongings in the studio.

Shoes are not necessary for class and should be left at the cubby area.

    Minimum Age

Adult classes are open for individuals 18 and above. Youth classes are open to children between 6 to 18. Classes for kids under 6 are available through our partner Head over Heels Gymnastics.

    Membership/Class Packs Expiration

Memberships expire one month after purchase. 5-packs expire in 3 months from the date of purchase. 10-packs expire in 6 months.

    Autopay for Memberships

All membership subscriptions are automatically charged on a monthly basis. You can cancel anytime during your subscription, and will still be able to use your membership until the end of the billing cycle of your subscription. The Hive SF does not offer prorated refunds for the remaining time left on the billing cycle after cancellation.

    Make-up classes

We do not offer make-up classes for late cancellations. If a class is canceled by The Hive SF, we will credit you for it and you may use the credit for the same class, or any other class, in a future date.

    Waitlist policy

If a class is full, you may join a waitlist and will be admitted should a spot become available when a student cancels. We will email students on the waitlist in their order of sign up when spots open.

  • Update on our Covid Policies: We will be observing these policies until August 31, 2023. Starting September 1, 2023, requirements for Covid vaccination and masks at The Hive SF will be lifted.

As a general rule for the health and safety of our community, if you are feeling sick for any reason (COVID or not), please stay home and rest and do not come to class.

    Mask policy

Masks are encouraged but not required.

    Vaccination policy

All students over the age of 8 must be fully vaccinated to attend classes, no exceptions. Please upload your proof of vaccination on your Mindbody account.

To be considered fully vaccinated, you should be 2 weeks beyond your second dose in a 2-dose vaccine, including Pifzer and Moderna, or 2 weeks beyond a single-dose vaccine, including Johnson & Johnson. A booster shot would be required if your second dose was over 6 months ago.

    No medical exemptions

We unfortunately cannot accept medical exemptions for any circumstances based on the mandate provided by the City of San Francisco.

    Protocol for testing positive

If you or someone in close contact has tested positive for COVID, and you have been in our studio in the past 14 days, we ask that you notify us via email at hello@thehivesf.com ASAP, with the subject line “COVID positive.”
